Terms of Service

Effective date: 7 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the Black Bar Technologies website and the engagement of our services. By using this website or requesting a service, you agree to these terms. They are prepared in line with South African law, including the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

1. Who we are

Black Bar Technologies is a South African technology company providing ICT services including IT support, VoIP telephony, web development, cloud solutions and business software. Contact: info@blackbartechnologies.co.za.

2. Use of this website

  • You may browse this website and submit enquiries for legitimate purposes only.
  • You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers, or related systems, or interfere with its operation.
  • Content on this website (text, design, logos and images) belongs to Black Bar Technologies or its licensors and may not be copied or reused for commercial purposes without written permission.

3. Enquiries, quotes and contracts

Submitting the contact form or any other enquiry does not create a contract. Services are delivered under an agreed quote or service agreement signed by both parties, which will set out scope, pricing, timelines and support. Where a quote and these terms conflict, the signed agreement prevails.

4. Service delivery

We will perform services with reasonable skill and care. Timeframes are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in a signed agreement. You remain responsible for providing accurate information, timely access to systems where required, and lawful authority for any action we take on your behalf (for example, authorisation for VoIP number porting).

5. Payment

Fees, billing cycles and payment terms are set out in your quote or service agreement. Undisputed invoices are payable by the stated due date. Services may be suspended for accounts that remain unpaid after written reminder.

6. Electronic transactions (ECTA)

Communications sent through this website are electronic transactions. An automated confirmation of receipt is not an acceptance of an offer. Agreements are only concluded when we confirm acceptance in writing. In terms of ECTA you may terminate electronic communications that were sent without your prior consent.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Black Bar Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit or data) arising from the use of this website or the services. Our total liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Third-party products

This website may reference or link to third-party products and services (such as Invoice Africa or VoIP providers). Those products are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

9. Privacy

Personal information submitted through this website is handled under our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved by negotiation first, failing which by the courts of South Africa.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date.
